​Our Staff


Raymond Burner, agency owner, purchased Burner Insurance Agency from his dad, Frank Burner, in 1993. Frank operated the business out of his home for many years before moving to Armstrong St. in Keyser. He continued to play a role in the business until his death in 2003. In 1996 the business moved a few miles out of town, and then moved again in 2009 to its current location at 1728 New Creek Hwy. Raymond takes great pride in his family business and the relationships he has established with his clients. “In this electronic age insurance shoppers have a lot of options,” says Burner about the digital influence on insurance. “They can go online, on the telephone, even on a smartphone. We like a more personal approach; we talk to and care about our insureds. Sure, we use all the electronic gadgetry to provide quotes, communicate, and settle claims quickly, but it comes down to a caring attitude about protecting them and saving them money. That’s what we offer. Great service and great savings!”

Raymond’s hobbies include photography and building things. He, and his wife Shannon, are the parents of three grown children. They share their home with three rescued dogs, and too many cats.


Tammy Braithwaite, a customer service representative with 25 years of experience at Burner Insurance Agency, is ready to help with all your auto and home insurance needs. “It usually only takes about 15 minutes to quote your auto insurance,” says Tammy. “People are often really surprised to find out how much they can save.” Stop in or call to find out if Burner Insurance can save you money! Tammy enjoys spending her spare time with family, especially her three granddaughters. “Family means everything to me, and I try to treat every customer as if they were family.”


Jeannie Baker has been with Burner Insurance for 21 years. She is fully licensed in personal insurance lines to quote and assist new and existing clients, but she also takes care of small automobile claims right in the office. “Many times, I can write a check the same day one of our clients has hit a deer or had to have their car towed. It’s a good feeling to help our customers with their claims,” adds Jeannie. She loves spending time with her family and is the proud grandmother of two grandchildren. Jeannie also has a great love of animals. She has cats, dogs, goats, and birds, and over the years she has adopted several rescued animals.
